At Spalding Education International (SEI), privacy of individual visitor data is of great importance. We work diligently to protect confidentiality, restrict transfer of personal data, incorporate technical safeguards and appropriate security policies, and identify privacy implications in new services. WHAT THIS PRIVACY POLICY COVERS

This Privacy Policy covers our treatment of personally identifiable information that we may collect when you are on the web site, and when you use our site services.

INFORMATION COLLECTED AND SAFEGUARDS

SEI collects personal information from our users in several different ways.

Registration is required in order to place purchase orders from this website.  You do not, however, have to register to browse this site.  Registered Users are required to provide their name, email address, zip code, phone number and a password of 5-16 characters in length.

When placing an order from this website, Registered Users are additionally required to provide Order Information including financial information such as credit card number, expiration date, billing address, billing phone number; and a shipping address. This information is collected from a secure web page and encrypted for our customers' protection.  

When placing an order via telephone or facsimile Customers are required to provide a name, shipping address; financial information such as credit card number, expiration date, billing address, and billing phone number.  This information is entered by us into a password-protected database for fulfillment.  Paper copies of the orders are kept in a locked filing cabinet. 

If you communicate with us via e-mail, personal information in the e-mail may be collected.

Only those employees or contractors with a need to know (e.g. for the purpose of fulfilling an order) are given your personal information and only to the extent necessary for them to perform their tasks.

USES OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Registration information is used to provide you with private access to your order status and so we can provide you with e-mail notices regarding new products or services.

Order Information is used for billing purposes and to fill customers' orders.  We may also use Order Information to contact you if we encounter difficulty when processing an order.  We may disclose this information to your credit card issuing bank and our banking and legal representatives, if a fraudulent order is being investigated, or if a charge is being disputed by you.  We may also disclose this information if required by law. 

COOKIES

We use session cookies to enable us to keep track of your movement from page to page so you do not get asked for the same information you have already provided us.  Cookies allow you to proceed through many pages of a site quickly and easily without having to authenticate or reprocess each new area you visit. 

LOG FILES

We use IP addresses to track activity on our website.

SHARING

We may use an outside shipping company to ship orders, and an outside credit card processing company to bill users for goods and services. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes...

CORRECTING AND UPDATING PERSONAL INFORMATION

You can add new information and update credit cards on your account page of our site. You can also modify your login information and opt out of newsletter delivery.

Opt-out Instructions. Users who no longer wish to receive our electronic newsletter or promotional materials from our partners may opt-out of receiving these communications by changing the settings in your account page. Users who no longer wish to receive special announcements via mail can send a letter to us at Customer Service. It may take up to ten days (10) days for your opt-out choices to be fully effective for electronic or e-mail messages and up to ninety days (90) for physical catalogs. Our systems require time to update we reserve the right to modify this privacy statement at any time, so please review it frequently. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email.

LOST OR STOLEN INFORMATION

You must promptly notify us if your user name or password is lost, stolen or used without your permission.  In such an event, we will cancel that account and assign you a new user name and password and update our records accordingly.

UPDATES

We reserve the right, at any time and without notice, to modify this Privacy Policy simply by posting the revised Privacy Policy on this Website.  Any such modification will be effective immediately.
